942 books Andrea must read

February 11, 2009

Be careful what you wish for.

I was just thinking today that I need some new books to get lost in, and then I found this:

Great. Now I’m completely overwhelmed.  I must read them? MUST? Like a direct order from my superior? What happens if I don’t? The Smart Police will apprehend me while buying trashy mags at Safeway? Well, I don’t want to find out, so I’m going to give it a go.

The good news is that I’ve already read 59 of these books (English Lit degree, coming in handy once again). Only 941 to go! YAY!

Well, 942, because I’m adding this to the list.

Yes, it’s a real book.

The Fempire

I know a lot of people have a hate-on for Diablo Cody, but I don’t. I loved Juno, and I think she’s terrific. She just wanted to be a screenwriter, then she was one, then she won and Oscar. Bob’s your uncle.

I’m looking forward to The United States of Tara. Bonus: Toni Collette!

Diablo and her girlfriends write together and and try stuff out on each other and support each other. I want that. I’m tired of competing with other girls so much.

If a blog is created on the internetablogospheremail and no one reads it, does it still exsit? And if it does get read but no one likes it, does it matter? Who cares? Where did I put my keys?
